Jodi Marshall isn’t sure how she went from normal teenager to walking disaster. One minute she’s in her junior year of high school, spending time with her amazing boyfriend and her best friend. The next she’s being stalked by some guy no one seems to know.
After the stranger, Alex, reveals himself, Jodi learns he’s not a normal teenager and neither is she. With a kiss that kills and a touch that brings the dead back to life, Jodi discovers she’s part of a branch of necromancers born under the 13th sign of the zodiac, Ophiuchus. A branch of necromancers that are descendents of Medusa. A branch of necromancers with poisoned blood writhing in their veins.
Jodi’s deadly to the living and even more deadly to the deceased. She has to leave her old, normal life behind before she hurts the people she loves. As if that isn’t difficult enough, Jodi discovers she’s the chosen one who has to save the rest of her kind from perishing at the hands of Hades. If she can’t figure out how to control her power, history will repeat itself, and her race will become extinct.
Hi guys it´s me again and today I´m super exited to be part of this blog tour. Spencer Hill Press was amazing ( As Always!!!) and gave me an ARC of this book for review; I can´t thank them enough, Kelly Hashway some how managed to mix mythology with zombies and what came out of it is an amazing story, thrilling and exeptional.
I have to admit I drooled all over this one, I couldn´t find a single thing I didn´t like about it. I loved the Characters, I loved the tone of the book, The writting style was superb. The characters are very likeable and memorable; the plot thickens on every page turn.
Jodi is just an ordinary girl with a more than extraordinary set of abilities and secrets so well kept that even she, doesn´t know about them.
When her favorite personal stalker Alex, finally explains why he´s after her, all she knows crumbles down and she is forced to accept one horrific truth. In a perfect world, the living have happy lives and the dead remain dead, but she doesn´t live in a perfect world anymore and she is a danger to others no matter if they are death or alive.
The way Alex and Jodi´s relationship grows it´s really good, there´s no rush but yet you can still see there´s something there from the start. We can see Jodi grow through the book,as she get more comfortable in her own skin and her feelings for Alex develops.

This book is about self discovery, acceptance, love and honor; it´s about sacrifice, longing and being able to difference right from wrong. It´s about war, power and treachery.
I was glued to this book for hours,so much that I read it on one sitting. Like I said before I´m a mythology lover and that made me enjoy this book even more, I´ve heard this stories for years but not likes this, never like this.
I even adored the zombies and I´m not a zombie girl at all. I tend to avoid zombie books, yet I couldn´t for the life of me put Touch of Death down; that´s how much I loved it.
Now as part of this Tour, Kelly Hashway agreed to visit for a little while and let us know how Greek mythology influenced her writting... SQUEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... sorry I just had a total Fangirl momment.

Oh My Gods!
By Kelly Hashway
I’ve been a fan of mythology for as
long as I can remember. The Percy Jackson books are among my favorite stories.
But being a mythology lover, I like to find myths that aren’t as well known. In
my research, I discovered another view of the Gorgon Medusa. Most people know
Medusa was cursed by the goddess Athena. There were many myths about why Athena
did this, the most common being that Medusa thought she was more beautiful than
Athena. For whatever reason, I never bought into this myth. I’m more inclined
to believe the Athena/Medusa trouble began with Poseidon. Even though Poseidon
was married, Athena had her eye on him. But Poseidon desired Medusa with her
beautiful hair and face. Athena was jealous of Medusa and felt betrayed by her
since Medusa served in Athena’s temple. And so, Athena cursed Medusa and turned
her into a hideous monster.
I love discovering lesser-known
myths, ones that challenge what most people have come to accept. Touch of Death
was inspired by two lesser-known myths, including this one about Medusa. In my
book, Medusa is beautiful and she’s not a monster at all. She loves her Ophi
descendents.
One thing mythology has taught me is
that there’s always a different spin on an old story. As a writer, my job is to
find that spin and create a story that people will want to read.
