Synopsis
Some things are
worth waiting for…
Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.
Some things are worth experiencing…
Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.
Some things should never be kept quiet…
But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?
And some things are worth fighting for…
First I really need to say that I love when
Jennifer L. Armentrout writes as J. Lynn, I mean I´m a super fan of both her
Covenant and Lux series, but Damm!!! That woman wins me over when she talks about
more mature topics. Tehehehe (evil laugh “see where this is going”)
Cam and Avery are an amazing couple, they have chemistry,
the looks and the heart to make Wait for you and unique book destined to hit
the #1 spot on all best sellers list possible.
I really liked that their relationship wasn´t
easy, they both where plagued with defects but the beauty of it is that despite
all their problems they, always surge through.
Avery had some very traumatic experiences when
she was younger and that colored her decisions from that moment forward, she
was a scared young woman that through this book learned that nothing is ever
easy and that the most rewarding things in life come attached with a great deal
of troubles but at the end, when you reach that spark of light at the end it´s
all worth it.
Cam is an absolutely amazing man, I can´t for the life of me think of one
single thing I didn´t like about him, he´s gorgeous, smart, funny, he cooks but
most of all he has a heart of gold… on another thought he is also cocky,
arrogant, overbearing, dominant; seems I could find some flaws after all
LOL!!!!
Anyway this book had me glued since page one,
cause even though you don’t know what is wrong with Avery, at least not 100%
sure of it, you know something truly awful happened to her and seen her come to
terms with everything an become a stronger, secure woman was a one of a kind ride.
The characterization on this book is amazing,
the plot was outstanding and the description of the environment was spot on.
I just have one question though…
