Release Date: February 10, 2014
Target Reader: Adult
Keywords: Urban Fantasy

Synopsis

Demon hunter Ty Burdin hung up his guns, knife, trench coat and fedora a year ago. Bags packed, hands washed of all demon politics, he’s done. Forever.

In fact, to get far far away, he dragged Nora, his rockabilly secretary, from Miami to the Tennessee mountains where he’s lived a life of peace—if peace can be defined as drowning in scotch and taking private eye jobs to keep the lights on. Jobs for real people. Not demons.

No demons.

He’s retired from that. Remember?

Demon hunters aren’t a dime a dozen, though, and when Ty’s brother asks him for a favor—just one—what’s a brother to do? Agreeing to take down one hillbilly demon shouldn’t take that long. In. Decapitate. Out. Favor complete. Back to the office where Nora and his bottle of whiskey are waiting.

Unfortunately for Ty, staying retired doesn’t seem to be in the cards, and an avalanche of bad luck draws him right back to an agency he despises and the career that nearly cost him his sanity.

This time, Ty has no way out and will have to face his own demons just to survive.

Synopsis
Jessie Darker goes to high school during the day, but at night she helps with the family investigation business. Cheating husbands and stolen inheritances? They’re your girls—but their specialty is a bit darker. Zombie in your garage? Pesky Poltergeist living in your pool? They’ll have the problem solved in a magical minute. For a nominal fee, of course...

When gorgeous new client, Lukas Scott, saunters into the office requesting their help to find a stolen box, it sounds like a simple case—until the truth comes out. The box is full of Sin.

Seven deadly ones, in fact.

They’ve got five days to recapture the Sins before they're recalled by the box, taking seven hijacked human bodies with them. Easy peasy—except for one thing...

There’s a spell that will allow the Sins to remain free, causing chaos forever. When the key ingredient threatens the life of someone she knows, Jessie must make the ultimate choice between love and family—or lose everything.

OMG guys this book is just WOW!!!!, I loved it beginning to end.

Jessie Darker is Awesome, she´s got the witts and the moves to be the ultimate heroine, she´s fuuny and Smart, she even has some jazz LOL!!!!

This book was all kinds of fun, Jus Accardo has a winner with this new series of her. From zombies to demons this book has it all.

Imagine a small town being run over by the 7 sins, you know Brad Pitt and a Morgan Freeman those Seven Sins =S. not only are they running around creating mayyhem, they also took the bodies of "Inocent people" so there´s no easy way to get read of them either.

Jessie´s mom is priceless and creates a unique and fun bond on the book. this woman is full wicked charm and imagination too make her daughter do stuff she hates to do. and OMG the father of Jessie he has this evil charm. Gotta love this two, and being spawned by them sounds wicked awesome LOL!!!

This book is full of choices, really hard choices that Jessie has to take in order to... hehehe you would want to know hahahaha, nope no spoilers here, but the things is she does have to make a lot of very difficult choices but very important ones that will for sure define the curse of this series in the future.

Jus Accardo is by far  one of my fav. authors ever, here is a list of why.

1.- she created the most amazing characters ever on this book.

2.- the background of the characters is spot on perfect

3.- the world building is the best I´ve seen from her and that is saying a lot cause she´s a master at world building.

4.- HAWT guys!!!! Heck Yeah Lucas!!!! Le Sight, he´s a panty dropper perfection to be meet.

5.- the pacing on this book is plainly perfect.

6.- descriptions: this book is like watching a movie, I could see it all in my head no need to double think a thing just 100% Green.

Did I mention that Jessie also has the best worst pet ever?????

OMG thats soome funny thing right there LOL!!!

This book is briliant, it did everything it had to, got me crazy about all the characters, made me love the story and has me dying to read the next book.

Bad Thing, ths book isn´t even out yet!!!!!!!
So I´m dying to read a book that Probably the author is still writting when book 1 meaning this baby I have here, is going to be released in about a month.

Ohh the life of an addict reader, and the pain we have to endure until we get our hands on the book we want, Le sight...

Eh.... Sorry about that, anyway you guys need to pic this book up as soon as it´s out!!!! it really is that good!!!!!

Synopsis
Every night before Amelia falls asleep she makes a wish to dream of him – the man who calls her to their beautiful private oasis, her sanctuary where she is free of her greedy landlord’s threats. But tonight, he will not call Amelia to him. Tonight, another man will step into her world to claim her. Tonight, Amelia’s shattering reality will crumble - and disappear into the Dreamscape…along with her freedom.

When Amelia dreams tonight, her nightmare becomes her new world where Seth is her captor and anything is possible…except escape. Seth needs Amelia to break the curse that binds him to the Dreamscape. He must convince her that she was made to free him, that she was made to join him.

For if he fails, he will never escape his prison, and he will lose Earth to the Netherworld where the evil Erobos wait to consume the human realm and everything in it. If he fails, Seth will lose the one thing that matters to him: Amelia.

Would it be ok to say Amelia has the most wonderfull case of  stockholm sindrome when  she already was half crazy over Seth just by looking at him?

I can´t blame her, Seth is just to die for hawt, what can I say, you guys know I´m a sucker for the Tall, Dark and mysterious kind, he´s also sexy and powerfull.

He needs Amelia to help him  in order to escape his curse but putting her at risk is no easy thing to do when all he can think of is to keep her safe.

Amelia´s life hasn´t been easy and having to wrap his head around all the information seth gives her , well let me tell you if I was her I would be half way to Arkham right now LOL!!!

I really liked the dynamic between the characters, they make a really good couple, I´m dying to have book two in my hands, cause this book is epic I tell you that.

The fistt book in a series needs to be bold enough that traps the reader but a the same time it need to draw the basis for the restof the series, Dreamscape does that and then some.

The author has an amazing eye for detail, hell I would love to have a house like Seth´s LOL!!!! the descrptions are perfect I could picture every nook and cranny of every place, simply wonderful.

What I loved the most about the book is that Amelia didn´t take things just like that, she´s an intelligent young woman. If someone would come to me and tell me that, I don´t know ... Barney the Purple Dinosaur really existed I would be rocking back and forth and shouting bloody murderer LOL!!!! and she´s well real, her reactions are as real as they can get.

She´s an amazing well developed character that reacts according to reason , yup no Mary Sue here and I love it!!!!!!

Synopsis
On a frigid February night in New Hampshire the car Penny is riding in loses control and crashes passenger-side first into a tree. When she wakes up the next morning she can’t understand why her mother and sister are ignoring her, until she accidentally sticks her hand through her mother and remembers the night before.

A town away, Will is going about his senior year of high school on autopilot. He can’t work up the courage to tell his overbearing father that he doesn’t want to go to Boston College and study Business, his ex-girlfriend doesn’t understand the concept of being broken up, and he’s tired of feeling like his life is all an act.

Thinking she’s dead and wishing for a respite from her family’s grief, Penny is drawn to a house party where she meets Will, who miraculously can see her though no one else can. In the off-limits living room at the back of the house, with music thumping and their peers making fools of themselves nearby, Penny and Will begin a relationship that will make both of them question the decisions that have brought them to where they are and force them to jointly take a leap of faith

Hi guys a cople of days ago, maybe a week I was contacted by Stephanie Blackburn, the author of this book. She asked if I was able to review her book even though Book Addict is closed to review requests cause I have a gazillion book to read right now and I don´t want to accept review requests that I´m not sure will be able to do in months.

Anyway, there where several things that made me read her email and say yup, I´ll review your book; and this is like the winner for me. This author took the time to go through my blog, I didn´t get a hello blogger email, nope it was address to me Karla, so that was a point for her LOL!!. Second I could tell that she read at least one of my reviews cause she made valid points about why she thought I would like her book =D. Third she mentioned that she knew I wasn´t accepting review requests, another sign that she payed attention to my blog YAY!!!!! but the thing that actually drove me to grab the book as soon as I could was that she was super sweet and even a Little shy in her email. like she was afraid to ask but needed to get herself out there. That was a winner for me.

So I finished the book I was reading and started wondering what book to grab from the huge pile I have and guess what? I remembered her email so what did I do, well I grabbed her book LOL!!!.

I want to hold your hand was amazing, it´s the perfect summer read I can totally picture myself  on the beach with a big hat in my head and this book in my hand.

This book is written in two povs. Penny and Will and even though I´m not the biggest fan when talking about changing povs, Stepanie Blackburn nailed it big time. I love to be able to hear both of their thoughts.

The plot is really sweet it´s a book I would def. give to my Little cousin, it has a Little bit of everything, romance, angst and at times really fun quotes.

It made me remember one of my fav Reese Whiterspoon movies ever, althought the movie is more on the fun side and this book is all about emotions. I really enjoyed it.

I was glued to this book as soon as I started reading and even though the characters are pretty Young I even related to Penny in some levels.

What I liked the most about the book was seeing Penny realize some truths about herself and her decisions, It was an amazing journey.

So if you guys are in need of a super sweet read this summer grab this book I really enjoyed it so maybe you guys will too.

Here is the amazon link if you want to check it out
it´s only  $0.99
A great read and a great opportunity to discover a new author.

Synopsis
Walking into the lion's den unprotected, Princess?

For Layla, princess of Tazkhan, her arranged marriage means one thing a lifetime of cruelty and captivity. Such an unendurable prospect drives her to throw herself at the mercy of Sheikh Raz Al Zahki her family's greatest enemy!

Raz demands one thing in return for the safe haven Layla is seeking this brooding desert king wants to make her his queen! Her freedom might be secured, but now her heart is at risk, for soon she's lost to the scorching heat of their marriage bed. However, it will take more than fire to thaw her guarded husband.

Hawt, Hawt, Hawt  that´s the first word that comes to mind after reading this book, at some point all girls myself included day dreamed about a knight in shinning armor coming to rescue the damisel in distress (Meanig me) from a world of doom. Never once did I thought that said knight would appear in the form of a sun kissed warrior king from the Desert. Picture Laurence of Arabia but really Hawt LOL!!! like the guy that was supposedly expeled from Saudi Arabia for being too handsome, yup picture him.

Anyway after drooling a bit, over this Guy, that just WOW!!!! those eyes and that smile is just... Errrr, where was I?.. oh yeah book review  right.

So, Layla (Our Damisel in distress) seeks help from this Sexy God!!..I mean´t to say something else, but that works too. So she seeks his help and ends up marring him, whel it was more like a merger but it didn´t stay like that for long

So one thing let to another and as some of you may now for a marriage to be absolutely legal, it has to be consumed so, yeah this book is one HAWT read!!!!

This guy  has bed skills and then some LOL so much that I spent half the book fanning myself and the other half drooling over what could and would happen next LOL!!!!

I adored this book is a very fast, sexy and easy read that sums up that Love can be found on the more unexpected places with the most unexpected people.

I can´t wait to read more from this author.

I wish I could tell you more about this book, but it is an ARC and this is a no spoiler Zone, so i wont spoil it for you no matter how much I want to. All I can say is, that there´s some pretty sexy scenes on it and it was amazing seeing Layla get to know herself and get comfortable under her skin an well Raz, he´s perfection!!!!!!!

There's blood in the water...

Kelpies have a reputation for eating humans. Unfortunately, Kelpies are the clients. When an Unseelie faerie this evil stalks the waterways of your city, you have to make hard choices.

The lesser of two evils...

let me start my review by telling you that this book is

Imagine every single myth you´ve Heard being true, from Vampires and trolls to kelpies and mermaids every single creature exist, but we just can´t see them cause they make themselves look like something they are not.

Now imagine being the only human able to see them among other things all, what would you do?????

Heck yeah, open up a Detective Agency!!!!!

Ivy Granger is the Bomb!!!! she´s an amazing kick ass heroine and I don´t mean it in the ninja whooping machie kinda way, no, she is in fact the most strong minded, intelligent girl ever, she solves mysteries  that even Sherlock Holmes would have a hard time wrapping his mind around; she is extremely loyal and one tough cookie.

Her friend Jynx is amazingly funny and very supportive of her and trusting too, they make an amazing power team that needs to be cheered for.

The plot of this book is wicked awesome, it twist and turns more times than I can count and let me tell you the amount of folk creatures here is astounding, I had to google a number of creatures that I didn´t even know existed.

The descriptions are spot on, I could clearly see in my head what the author described, if you don´t believe me check this out.

"Large, broken stumps of rotten teeth
stood crookedly like old headstones
in a neglected graveyard."

you get the point!!!

This book is really cool, my only fuzz about it is cause the end felt a little rushed I would have loved to see a bit more of the why´s and how´s of ..."it", but other than that this book is kick ass, I´ll be readng book 2 real soon, I can´t wait to see what kinda trouble Ivy can get herself into.

My fav. carácter from the book??? It´s a tie, a lovely tie between the biggest kid in town and a friendly kitchen keeper LOL!!! you´ll figure that one out as sson as you read this baby.

But now that Connor's back as the town sheriff, Becca finds herself struggling to resist the too-handsome man who once broke her heart.

Connor loves Kortville—its quaintness keeps at bay the painful memories of Afghanistan he’s sure make him unworthy of any woman, particularly the beautiful brunette he’s always secretly dreamed of a future with. Hey guys, guess what a while back I was contacted by Entangled Publishing about reviewing this title for them, I´ve read quite a few entangled books so it was only natural to say Heck yeah!!!!! LOL!!! even thought I had a gazillion books to read.

So after finishing a particular hard but amazing Beta Read,I decided I needed something romantic and sweet to read and well there´s nothing more romanti or sweeter than a book from Entangled´s Bliss Imprint, so here we are.

Love Him or Leave Him is a very tender and at times sexy read it took me about four or five hours to read through it cause well... My name is Karla and I´m addicted to guys in uniform... and OMG did Connor filled that police uniform nicely.

This book is about long lost love, the importance of family and fighting for your dreams.  It´s a very easy read that delivers.

Connor and Becca are a very good match for each other even though they think they are very different at heart, they are perfect for each other, strong minded.

Kortville is amazing,I would love to live in a place like that, where everyone knows one and other and everyone is as close as family.

If you guys are looking for a sweet, heart warming romance get this book now!!!

Cooper Girl by Jennifer Allis Provost Blog Tour/Giveaway

Hi guys, welcome to my stop on the Copper Girl Blog Tour, I gotta say that I´m absolutely thrilled to be a part of this, why?, well for starters Jennifer Allis Provost is a super girl easy to talk to and really fun plus she is amazing!!!!! hear this out.  my ARC of this book got lost in the mail, I was devastated thought I lost my chance to be a pat of the tour and everything, so I contact Jen to let her know that I couldn´t review her book cause well the book never arrived (Damm mail) but that I could do a spotlight or post an excerpt. do you guys know what Jen did????

She send me and E-ARC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn´t she amazing!!!!

ok, ok back on topic, so after my devastation and posterior fangirliness over the awesomesauce girl that is Jennifer Allis Provost, I opened my kindle and started reading and ohhh boy!!!! so yeah this is going to be a big fat fangirl review!!!!!!! LOL!!!!

Back cover matter:

Sara had always been careful.
She never spoke of magic, never associated with those suspected of handling magic, never thought of magic, and never, ever, let anyone see her mark. After all, the last thing she wanted was to end up missing, like her father and brother.
Then, a silver elf pushed his way into Sara's dream, and her life became anything but ordinary.

First I need, need, need to say that this book is amazing!!!! It´s the must fun I had in a while. I loved it cover to cover. It took me about six or seven hours to devour this book. when I sat down to start my first thought was, "I´m going to read for a couple of hours and I´ll continue tomorrow". LOL!!! yeah that never happened. I was sucked in by this baby badly and when I noticed I was done, done done!!!

Soooooo!!!!! What I loved the most about this book was that It wasn´t filled with fluff, we are given exactly what we need to understand the plot and start making conjetures, the characters are strong and even though we are trapped in the mist of everything that is going on around Sara, we aren´t sofocated with information.

CHAPTER ONE, Part I

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

My office, like most modern offices, cranked the air conditioning down to Arctic proportions during the summer months. Consequently, we workers arrived in the morning dressed in sandals and sleeveless tops, donned heavy sweaters upon reaching our desks, and ended up shivering by noon. Ironically, when our workday ended we were hit by a wall of oppressive heat the moment we stepped outside the main doors. No, this wasn’t a flawed system in the slightest.

That day, I wasn’t having it. I had the grand idea of spending my lunch hour outside, away from the icy wind stiffening my fingers and chilling my neck. After I unwound myself from the afghan I kept in my desk (and only used in the summer months), I gathered up my lunch and my phone and headed out for an impromptu picnic in my car.

What I hadn’t considered was that the office runs the air conditioning so cold because it was, well, hot outside. Very hot, in fact. So hot that the cheese was melting in my sandwich and the lettuce looked like something that had washed ashore months, maybe even years, ago. I was parked in the shade and had taken down my car’s convertible top, but I still couldn’t manage to get comfortable. I’d already shed my sandals and cardigan, which left me wearing my sundress and…

Dare I?

I glanced around the parking lot of Real Estate Evaluation Services, the ‘go-to firm for all your commercial real estate needs’, according to the brochures. No one, human or drone, was taking a noontime stroll, and, by virtue of my being on the far side of the lot, no cars were near mine. Most of my coworkers didn’t even have cars, so the lot was rarely more than half-full. What was more, from where I sat, I couldn’t even see the office.

I dared.

I took a deep breath and channeled my inner wild woman, then leaned the seat back and slipped off my panties. Removing that small bit of cotton made an incredible difference, and the heat became somewhat bearable. Enjoyable, even. Was that a breeze?

Ignoring my decrepit sandwich, I fully reclined the seat, set the alarm on my phone, and closed my eyes. A nap. Now that would make today bearable.

***

Suddenly, he is there.

Here.

Kissing me, holding me.

I know I'm dreaming, because he's perfect. His lips are soft but insistent, his hands gentle. I glide my fingers across his back, feeling thick cords of muscle, before sinking my fingers into his hair. It’s superfine, like cobwebs, and when I crack an eyelid, I learn that it’s silver. Not gray or white, but the elegant hue of antique candlesticks and fine flatware. Cool.

I squeeze my eyes shut again, not wanting the dream to end any sooner than it has to. He kisses me once more, and I can’t help melting against him. His hand travels up my leg, up past my hip… shit! No panties!

I try twisting away, but he already knows. I feel his mouth stretch into a smile, and he moves to nuzzle my neck. "What’s your name?" he murmurs.

"Sara," I reply. "Yours?"

"Micah." By now, his hands have traveled to my waist, and he slides one around to stroke the small of my back. "Why did you summon me, Sara?"

"I didn’t," I protest. "I don’t know how." I would say more, but he nibbles a trail from my neck to my shoulder, and pushes my dress to the side. As for me, I let him.

Micah raises his head, and I get a good look at him for the first time. His eyes are large and dark gray, like thunderheads, his features chiseled into warm caramel skin, and his unruly mop of silver hair seems to float around his head. He wears an odd, buff-colored leather shirt, made all the odder in this heat, and matching leather pants and boots. Boots?

"You did summon me," he insists. "My Sara, you must tell me why."

"Does it matter?" I ask. I pull him back to me, kissing him with all the passion I’ve never felt with anyone during my waking hours. Micah kisses me back, fingers deftly unbuttoning my dress while his other hand rubs my lower back. I’ve never felt so free, so alive as I do in Micah’s embrace, and I have no intention of rushing this. None at all.
