The Dark Surrender By Gena Showalter
Goodreads Synopsis

Possessed by the demon of Defeat, Strider cannot lose a challenge without suffering unimaginable pain. For him, nothing stands in the way of victory. Until Kaia, an enchanting Harpy, tempts him to the razor's edge of surrender.Known among her people as The Disappointment, Kaia must bring home the gold in the Harpy Games or die. Strider is a distraction she can't afford because he has an agenda of his own-steal first prize, an ancient godly artifact, before the winner can be named. But as the competition heats up, only one prize will matter-the love neither had thought possible.

--- My Reasons---

This book has been a part of my TBRL for quite some time now, even before it was published, is the last published book of the Lords of the Underworld series, wich is next to BDB my fantastic FAV, i`ve put it on my X-mas wishlist hopping some friend will get the idea a buy it for me lol, cause in my country isn`t even out yet  *sheds a tear*

Please read the rules above and post your Wishlist Wednesday post before posting your link in the linky list

  1. A harpy? I always kinda liked the harpies in the Xanth fantasy series. They were 'foul' mouthed but always bleeped by the censor. Xanth is a magical land of puns in case you aren't familiar with it.

I burnt myself out on Romance just before the paranormal subgenre got big so haven't dabbled much-- If I see this one I'll check it out though. The cover is quite intriguing. ;o)

Happy WW! Here is Adele's Wishlist Pick

  2. haven´t read Xanth fantasy series im gonna look it up thx, it sounds epic!!!!

this book is #8 in a series it´s amazing hope u like it if u get to it :D

  3. Xanth is very tame by paranormal romance standards but there are 30+ books in the series so pretty epic in that regard! haha
It is very punny-- no good pun or groaner gets left behind. Not a lot of people's cuppa, I'm sure but it is all good silly fun-- I mean pun.

  4. 30 books really that HUGE!! hahaha sound funny thou, im kinda intrigued by it i`ll look them up for sure :D

  5. OMG...I'd be too afraid to start a
30 book series!! Anywho...hope you get this book soon!!
